MAJO AGUILAR EARNS TWO 2025 PREMIO LO NUESTRO NOMINATIONS INCLUDING MEXICAN MUSIC - FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR

As anticipation builds up for her upcoming album, Majo Aguilar has added another milestone to her career with two nominations for the 2025 Premio Lo Nuestro awards, including Mexican Music -  Female Artist of the Year. The nominations are a tribute to her remarkable artistry in música Mexicana, honoring her commitment to preserving its rich heritage while connecting with today’s audiences. The 37th edition of Premio Lo Nuestro will take place on Thursday, February 20 will be broadcast live on Univision at 8:00 pm ET/7:00 pm CT.

Majo Aguilar’s 2025 Premio Lo Nuestro Nominations:

  • Artista Femenina Del Año - Música Mexicana (Mexican Music - Female Artist Of The Year)
  • Canción Mariachi/Ranchera Del Año (Mariachi/Ranchera Song Of The Year) - "Cuéntame" - Majo Aguilar & Alex Fernández

Majo Aguilar is an acclaimed singer-songwriter carrying forward the legacy of one of Mexico’s most renowned musical families. Majo’s project introduces Mariachi Tumbado, a vibrant fusion of mariachi and corridos tumbados. Collaborating with renowned mariachi and corridos producers, Majo has embraced this genre-blending challenge with pride, always staying true to her roots while taking bold creative risks. Kicking off  the year with “El Beso” earlier this month, Majo has also released “Aun Así Te Vas” and “Quise Algo Bien” as the first few tracks from her highly-anticipated LP set to release in May, which is positioning Majo as a female pioneer in this cross-genre movement. With her distinctive voice and commitment to storytelling, Majo continues to forge  her own path in the world of music, inspiring fans across generations.

Esta canción forma parte de su segundo álbum de estudio, titulado .MP3, que debutó como el álbum femenino número uno a nivel global y alcanzó el cuarto lugar en la lista global de Spotify, rompiendo récords con más de 356 millones de reproducciones en pocos días. Además, le valió su primera nominación al Latin GRAMMY® como Mejor Álbum Vocal Pop.  Emilia dedicó su premio a los afectados por la tormenta DANA en España y mostró su cariño por sus fans españoles, agotando las entradas para su concierto en el WiZink Center de Madrid en solo una hora.
